Thank you to the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department and the Women's Auxillary for inviting Bridgeville into your training events. What you guys do makes a difference and affects communities all throughout Humboldt County. We appreciate your time and training.

Is the giant blasting siren really necassary? That can't be the way the volunteers are called in. It would be far too unreliably a means to get people up and have them to the department. I assume most people use a radio of some sort or scanner to keep in tune with the goings on around the area. So how bout we retire that obnoxious horn. I for one refuse to donate money until that thing is turned off. Thank you for your time.

Very nice website. I was raised and completed high school in Fortuna (1970) moved to Alaska in 1977 and have been a member of the Ketchikan Fire Dept. (Assist.Chief) for 27 years. It is my desire to retire and return to Fortuna someday!
