Good News! Rescue Randy is here! Developed for lifelike victim handling, transportation, and extrication training, Rescue Randy can be safely used in situations too hazardous or uncomfortable for Trevor Miller or Scott Erickson.

Rio Dell will host a wild land/urban interface live burn Saturday,  January 16th from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.  Notify Assistant Chief Rus Brown if you would like to participate.

The first responder course (which is required to ride on Rescue 7474) will begin in April or May .  A 16 hour refresher course is required every year, and the full 40 hour course must be completed every three years.

The Eel River Fire Academy begins February 4th and any new firefighters should attend.  The classes will be held Thursday evenings and Saturdays at the Fortuna Main Station and at other participating departments throughout the valley.   Refer to the calenar link on the left for more details.
